This policy explains how Carolinas Best Roofing & Construction Inc. ("Carolinas Best," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use bestroofnc.com, including our free assessment forms, the My Roof dashboard, Active Roof Management, and our community contest. The short version: we collect what you give us, we use it to serve you and to stay in touch, we never sell it, and you can opt out at any time.
What we collect
- Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, property address, and details about your roof or project when you fill out a form, request pricing, sign up for storm alerts, enroll in a membership, or vote in a contest.
- Storm monitoring data: if you give us a property address for storm alerts or Active Roof Management, we convert it to map coordinates and check public weather data for that location.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider records standard web logs (such as IP address and pages visited) to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To respond to your requests, schedule assessments and inspections, and provide services you sign up for.
- To watch the weather over a property address you gave us and notify you when a qualifying storm affects it.
- To send you emails you asked for (storm alerts, your saved rate, contest updates) and occasional marketing emails about our services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To call or text you, with your consent, as described below.
Calls and text messages (TCPA consent)
When you submit a form that includes your phone number, you agree that Carolinas Best Roofing & Construction may call and text you at that number about your request and our services, including through automated technology. Your consent is not a condition of purchasing anything. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply.
Opting out is easy: reply STOP to any text to stop texts, tell us on any call to stop calls, or contact us using the details below. We honor opt-outs promptly and we do not call or text outside of 8am to 9pm your local time.
We keep a record of when and where you gave consent (the form, the date, and the network address it came from) so we can honor and prove it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with other marketers. We use a small set of service providers to run the site, and they only receive what they need to do their job:
- Email platform (MailerLite) stores our contact list and sends our emails.
- Form notifications (Formspree) deliver your submission to our office inbox.
- Hosting (Vercel) serves the website.
- Maps and weather (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap geocoding, the National Weather Service, and Open-Meteo) receive a property address or its coordinates so we can show your roof and monitor the sky over it. No name or contact details are sent with those lookups.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact information while we have an active relationship or while you remain subscribed to our updates. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we remove it from our marketing lists, keeping only what we need for records of completed work or to honor your opt-out.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
- Reply STOP to any text message.
- Email or call us to access, correct, or delete your information.
Children
Our services are for homeowners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here with a new effective date.
